Today, we’re going to find out just how much a YouTube Creator who has 200,000 Subscribers makes from their Channel via ads alone. I’m excluding affiliate earnings because that varies continously and highly depends on the products the creator decides to promote.
YouTube is currently the Second Largest Search Engine, spanning over 2 Billion Users and increasing by the day.
If you’ve ever wanted to start a profitable YouTube Channel, now’s your chance to join the creator economy and start making money.
How Much Money Do 200k Subscribers Make?
As I pointed out in a similar article that I published a few days ago, YouTube pays you for the number of ad views and not your Subscriber Count. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t find out how much money a YouTube Creator makes from 200k Subscribers.
From my Calculations, A YouTube Channel with 200k Subscribers estimates $10,000 from Ad Revenue if they get 2,000,000 views and an average RPM of $5.
You can take a look at how I Calculated it below.
A Creator who has 200k Subscribers can be estimated (by me) to get 10% of his/her viewers to Subscribe. If that’s the case then, you can use this simple calculation to get how many viewers the creator got:
Let's take the number of views to be "N"
Then 200,000 Subscribers = (10 Subscribers ÷ 100 views) * N
N = (200,000 Subs × 100 views) ÷ 10 Subs
N = 2,000,000 views.
This simply means that the number of views a Creator with 200k Subscribers gets is roughly estimated to be 2 Million Views.
The Average YouTube RPM ranges from $5 to $20, if we take the Creator’s RPM to be $5, then the amount of money he or she makes will be:
RPM = (number of views ÷ estimated earnings) * 1000 views
Estimated Earnings = (number of views ÷ RPM) * 1000 Views
Estimated Earnings = (2,000,000 ÷ $5) * 1000
Estimated Earnings for a Channel with 200,000 Subscribers and a Roughly Estimated 2,000,000 views with an average CPM of $5 will make $10,000 on YouTube.
Do note that this calculation doesn’t mean that you’ll make up to $10,000 immediately you hit 200K Subscribers, some creators will have more views with same number of subs while some will have higher RPMs, it just varies.
