Ad Formats
Google Adsense
AdSense offers basically 5 ad formats which include:
- Multiplex Ads
- In-article Ads
- In-feed Ads
- Banner Ads
- Text Link Ads
The Multiplex Ad format is designed to display AdSense ads in related content format, below your article content. The In-article ad format is designed to fit into your article’s content based on the keywords present while the in-feed ad format imitates the look of feeds on your website. The Banner ad format and the text link ad format are pretty much self explanatory.

- Push Notifications
- ONClick Ads
- In-page push
- Interstitials
- Smart Links
Push Notification: This ad pops up as a native subscription, urging visitors to Subscribe to the sites content and you get paid per subscriber.
OnClick Ads: These ads show up once anything is clicked on the website, this is mostly used by websites which hosts downloadable files.
In-page push: These are banner notifications that are loaded alongside website content, they are mostly known for degrading user experience on site.
Interstitials: These type of ads pop over your website content and they have surprisingly high click through rate as users mistakenly click on it.
Smart Links: These type of ads automatically redirect you to advertiser offers, once a publisher website is loaded.
Which one Pays More?
Google AdSense
AdSense scans your website content and serves ads based on the keywords present, if they don’t have ads related to that, Then they serve ads based on the visitor’s interests which are collected as the surf.
This feature alongside the Auto-Ads feature make sure you make the best money for your content.
However, I do think your earnings are very dependent on your niche and the country where your website visitors come from.
In AdSense, you can get CPM rates from $1 – $50 depending on the factors I mentioned in the last paragraph.
PropellerAds
Propeller Ads is just loaded with a bunch of spam advertisers and your user keeps seeing the same ads over and over again.
That’s if they would even come back after they couldn’t even have a chance to read the website’s content.
Anyways, your earnings on PropellerAds is only influenced by the country where your visitors access your content from.
The Maximum CPC for Propeller Ads is around $6 which is considerably lower tan that of Google AdSense. With the preceding analysis, it’s clear that you’ll make more money from Google AdSense and lesser with Propeller Ads.
