Pick a Niche
Ideally, you have to treat your YouTube Channel as your Business in order to succeed, plan on your strategy and how you intend to climb the ladder to success.
You have to decide on what type of content your Channel will be based on before even going on to create the Channel, so you won’t quit on the long run.
It was really hard for me to come with a YouTube Channel Idea some years back but I later cracked it, CLICK HERE to see how I did it.
Create and Verify Your Channel
The First Step toward starting a successful YouTube channel is creating the Channel.
Now Before you just jump in and create a random channel, you have to think of the niche that you’re going to create content on.
And then find a way to add that to your Channel name, so it’ll be easier for your future audience to know what your channel is all about.
Some People May ask ‘How much does it cost to start a YouTube channel?’
Well, starting a YouTube Channel doesn’t have to cost you money.
It’s generally dependent on your niche, some niches require you to show your face or to add your voice, that is when you’re going to use money.
You’ll have to buy a recording camera, speaker, lighting etc..
On a personal note, I don’t have this but I still make money on YouTube.
In the same vein, it doesn’t necessarily mean that once you buy all these flashy Gadgets you’ll make more money.
While you can choose to start a YouTube Channel without buying any gadget, do keep in mind that YouTube can ban your Channel for these reasons, do not let your hard work go to waste.
To Get Started:
- Sign In to YouTube, and Create the Channel
- Change Channel Name and add description
- Verify YouTube Channel.
All these steps I believe, are very much self explanatory but just in case..
Important: If you’re having trouble coming up with a YouTube Idea, i.e. you don’t know what type of content you should create that won’t bore you out in the long run, then I can help you, read this article ASAP.

And it’s not just a Camera, you also need other YouTube Equipment like Microphone, Lighting etc, Check them out HERE.
How then do you make your YouTube Channel Profitable
Quick Reminder: Whether you bought gadgets for your YouTube Channel or not, you still need a reliable video editor for YouTube, if your videos are bad there’s no going forward!
I guess you can say a YouTube Channel is profitable if it makes you constant income on a daily basis, now this is the best part.
Traditionally, to make money from YouTube, you need 1000 Subscribers and 4000 watch hours in the last 12 months.
But, I discovered ways you can make money from your relatively new channel even with just 1 subscriber – See what I found out.

Now to make your YouTube Channel profitable, you need to optimize your content for both Google Search and YouTube Search.

If you want to step up your YouTube growth as fast as possible, then you should consider advertising your YouTube Channel on YouTube.
Social Media Signals
You’ll have to send social signals to your YouTube videos, this will increase your Subscribers as well as your audience.
You can get started with Facebook and Instagram.
Just post consistently and with time your audience will grow, both Facebook and Instagram are competing with YouTube.
So their video content are favored more than the traditional image and link posts.
I can remember sometime in 2019 when I was struggling to breakout my YouTube Channel.
My main and only goal then was to get to 1000 Subscribers and 4000 watch hours within 6 months of uploading content.
Facebook helped me reach that, though it took some time.
I made something like a sneak peak of the video I uploaded on YouTube, then posted it on my profile.
Before posting, I wrote an enticing description and added the link.
I also tagged 40 Facebook friends.
The post was just getting a little number of views at first, but before the month passed, it started skyrocketing in views and also engagement.
I was amazed.
But I never thought that it would help my video reach more people on YouTube.
With time, the video was getting roughly 1000 clicks from Facebook to YouTube every month.
YouTube started recommending the video below the videos of my Top Competitors and bam!
I surpassed the threshold required for AdSense YouTube Monetization 2 months later.
