Tips to get more YouTube Subscribers in 2022
- Create a lot of Engaging Content
- Ask Viewers to Subscribe
- Add Subscribe button to your Videos
- Leverage YouTube Shorts
- YouTube SEO
- Use Growth Tools
- Promote Your Channel
- Use YouTube Ads
- Use Cards and End Screens
- Create a Description Template
Create a lot of Engaging Content
Well, This is pretty much self-explanatory, you should create a lot of engaging content that your audience will love and that will prompt them to Subscribe.
It’s not just pulling up a camera and just recording, editing in 3 minutes, publishing and hoping the gods of viral content locate your video.. it doesn’t work that way.
First things first, you need your videos to be of high quality, so you need a quality and reliable camera.
Once you’ve got a great Camera, it’s time to get a professional video editor, one that’ll cover all your needs.
You now have to create a content schedule according to the free time you have, this is simply concluding on how many video you want to be creating on a weekly, daily or monthly basis and sticking to that.

When I was starting out on YouTube, I created unprofessional videos using my smartphone and I was uploading new content everyday,
I didn’t even decide on the niche I’d be working on, I was just uploading content, for 2 straight years, I had only 200 Subscribers.
By then, I had gained some knowledge on how to make money on YouTube and stuff, so I became serious.
It only took a 10-minute video that got 100,000 views in 3 weeks to get me into the YouTube partner program.
If I recall correctly, that video got me around 5000+ watch hours and 2000 Subscribers.
So what’s the lesson here, you should decide on the niche you want to work on and stick to that, then all your videos should be longer than 10 minutes.
Ideally, in your content plan or schedule, your goal should be to create 100 engaging videos.
Once you accomplish the goal, you can now create content anytime you wish and lessen the hassle.
P.S. You need to purchase a few of the beginner YouTube Equipment, so you can focus on creating outstanding videos.
Ask your viewers to Subscribe
It’s just as it is, when recording your YouTube Content, ensure to take like 30 seconds and tell the viewers to Subscribe.
If you want this to be more productive, give them a reason to Subscribe, maybe to know when the next big content is uploaded or to get access to giveaway, you decide.
The main point here is to leverage whatever it is, the audience in your niche want.
Let’s say I run a YouTube Channel where I teach YouTube, I might promise a Tubebuddy premium account giveaway for 5 random Subscribers.

Since my Audience are all YouTube Creators, they’ll all be interested. Do make sure that you fulfill your promise.
You should reveal that the winners will be announced on your next YouTube video, so that they’ll anticipate.
The only way they’ll be able to know when your next video comes out is if they Subscriber and turn on notifications.
In the description if every video ensure to tell your viewers to Subscribe, it can be in the form of “Subscribe to My Channel here – https://youtube-channel-link?sub_confirmation=1/ “.
By adding ‘?sub_confirmation=1’, any viewer that clicks on the Subscribe link and is using desktop will subscribe 99% of the time.
Add Subscribe Button to your Videos
This’ll help you get more YouTube Subscribers when people view your videos on desktop.
If you’ve watched YouTube videos on your Laptop or Personal Computer, you must have seen videos with something like a watermark at the bottom right hand corner of the video.
That is where you should add you Subscribe button, because when people click on the watermark, they’ll be promoted to Subscribe.
You now need to download a YouTube Subscribe button.

Just head over to Google.com and search ‘YouTube Subscribe Button’ then download the ones you need.
We don’t want the buttons to show with the background, so you should head over to remove.bg and remove the image’s background, then click on download.
To add Subscribe button to all your YouTube videos:
- Open and Login to YouTube Studio
- In the left sidebar, click on Customization.
- Click on the Branding tab and then you should see the video watermark section.
- Upload the ‘YouTube Subscribe Button’ image without background.
- Set display time to entire video and then click on publish.
Leverage YouTube Shorts
Most Creators actually overlook the content distribution power possessed by YouTube Shorts.
After analyzing a couple of content on YouTube, I came to the conclusion that YouTube Shorts is the fastest way to blow up on YouTube.
Yes! Even faster then SEO.
Notice Something here, all these YouTube Channel that create Comic content that make people laugh don’t use SEO but they still have millions of Subscribers.

YouTube Channels like Chewkz, Adam W, Anwar Jibawi, DeStorm Power, Bachelor’s Pad TV etc.
Do you know what all these Channels have in common, they leverage YouTube Shorts to reach a wider audience.
Let’s take Adam Waheed for example, he’s published over 300 Shorts over a few years and he now has 6.53 Million Subscribers on YouTube.
To sum it all up, just create more engaging vertical content for YouTube while also creating the traditional 16:9 ratio videos.
Once you upload 50 shorts, you’ll use YouTube Studio to analyze the Shorts that are getting you more Subscribers, you then have to create more of those content.
