Before we get started with deleting your WordPress Website, if you’re having any doubts or you wish to use your content or design on another site, I recommend you backup your WordPress Website, here are the best resources to help you do so:
Uninstall / Delete WordPress from cPanel
The first step towards deleting your WordPress Website is to log in to your cPanel and then scroll down to access the WordPress Manager by Softaculous under the Software Tab.
Note that I’m using Hostinger (<– Use This link to get unlimited resources for just $2) the settings might be different for you.
Once the Softaculous page is fully loaded, you can see your current website which you want to delete present, you can simply click on the drop-down arrow at the far left and then…
Click on Uninstall, on the next page, scroll down and then click on Remove Installation.
The Removal process is expected to start immediately and it takes anywhere between 3 – 5 minutes to complete, ensure you do not leave or refresh the page to avoid issues.
Once the Installation process is done, you’ll see that your site is empty and you’ve managed to delete WordPress.
If you want to get started with WordPress all over again, you can return to your cPanel, then scroll down to the software menu where you’ll see the Softaculous WordPress Installer or WordPress Manager by Softaculous as the case may be.
You can then click on Install and start a fresh WordPress Installation. You should be familiar with the whole process by now but if you wish to learn how I’d start a new WordPress Website READ THIS ←.
Deleting your entire WordPress Website is a huge step to take and should be thought over, if you’re encountering any issues with your interface, try changing the plugin folder name and refreshing.
Sometimes, the root cause of the problem might be from a theme (happened to me once), all you have to do is to change your active theme’s folder name and see if the problem is fixed, most times it will.
The two troubleshooting steps mentioned above can only be completed via File Manager in your Site’s cPanel.
As a bonus point, do not use free or nulled WordPress Themes or Plugins on your Website, I usually buy Themes, plugins, and scripts I use from Themeforest (<– Get Up to 50% off your first purchase) and they work perfectly, my site operates issue-free.
