Before we get started, head over to Google Play and update the YouTube Mobile app to the latest version.

Why do people want to Block YouTube User?

Most times, it’s because they find the User’s content derogatory or they simply don’t like the User.

For creators, it may be that the User is a bot and is spamming the creator’s comments or trying to scam the Creator’s fans.

Open the Updated App and login, then search for the Channel that you want to block.

Once, you’ve seen the Channel you want to block, click on it and you’ll be redirected to their profile page.

I highlighted the 3 dots in the Image above, you should click on it and then click on block user.

Note that blocking a user will prevent them from commenting on videos that you’ve uploaded and will upload.

If you’re cool with this, then click on Block.

Now, as you know, you have just prevented the user from commenting on your videos and possibly not seeing it.

You also don’t want YouTube to recommend the Channel’s videos to you.

Once a video from the Channel is blocked is recommended to you, click on the three dots beside the title.

Clicking on the three dots will pullout a list of options.

You should click on ‘don’t recommend Channel‘ and then you’ll never see Users content ever again on YouTube.
