We all love to portray more information as well as create more spots for ads on our website(s) so we can earn more revenue.
So, In this article, I’ll teach you how to add a sidebar in WordPress Blog Page, how to customize the sidebar and how you can display custom sidebars on different pages or posts.
Getting Started
If you have installed a WordPress theme on your site and you don’t see the space of a sidebar, it’s most likely that your theme sets ‘Reader Mode’ as default.
What you have to do is to head over to your theme’s setting or customization page (sometimes you can use the WordPress Customizer).
Then look for an option like ‘Single Blog Posts Layout Settings’.. you should understand the idea here.
My Site used to use the Pixwell theme, if you’re using the same just head over to the ‘single page settings’ and switch the template.
In the case that you can see a sidebar on your site after you’ve installed a theme and imported demo, you should now proceed to customization.

You can then add, remove, edit or optimize content there, do note that some themes come with multiple sidebars for different post layouts.

How to Display Custom Sidebars on different Posts
If you wish to display custom sidebars on different Posts to make your content unique, there’s a pretty solid way to do so.
You’ll have to create a new sidebar and set it to display where you want, for this, we’ll be using a plugin developed by WebFactory ltd.

The plugin is known as Custom Sidebars, head over to the ‘New Plugins’ page and Install the plugin then activate.
Once that is done, you should visit the Widgets Page and then you’ll see a blue button that says ‘Create New Sidebar‘, click on it, add the name of the sidebar and then create.

The Sidebar should appear immediately and you should now add the content you want to display there.
The next step is to now set which pages or posts you want the sidebar to appear on, to do this, open the post you want to use the sidebar,
You’ll see a new metabox titled Sidebars, you can use the drop down list to choose which sidebar you want to use on the article or page.
