Some of the clients who I help grow their YouTube channels and students I coach often ask me How often should I upload videos on YouTube, so I can get more subscribers.
I guess you can say that was what inspired me to create this article on the topic. I’ve done a lot of my analysis on different YouTube Channels and my results are too good.

Before, you get on with uploading videos frequently, I’ll like you to check out these tips:

You need to create high-quality videos, people choose quality over quantity these days, and believe me it’s worth it. If you use the filter option in YouTube Search, you’ll see that there’s an option to filter 4K videos, don’t you think there’s a reason for that.
And 80% of the time, 4K Videos occupy the whole top 15 search results. All you need is to set yourself up correctly, get a 4K Camera (preferably Sony ZV-1), get a Microphone, buy a Video Editing Laptop and build yourself a studio.

Going on to the next tip, your videos should be engaging, get a reliable video editing software (preferably Movavi Video Editor Plus), the software has a massive library of stock footage, effects, and non-copyright protected audio, you can also export your videos in 4K.
Last but not the least, Study your YouTube Analytics from YouTube Studio. Before you start uploading content on YouTube, you should be well prepared and that includes creating an intro, designing a Logo and Banner, etc.
So, you can flexibly upload YouTube Videos in your leisure time for at least a month, and let’s say you made 25 videos, you have to go into YouTube Studio and study the audience behavior on your videos.
See whether they are bouncing at a certain time frame, they just skip the video to the end or they just leave after the intro. The goal of doing this is to help you retain more of your audience’s attention.
To be frank, if you don’t retain your audience and they bounce from your videos, even if you upload 100 videos in 24 hours, the YouTube Algorithm will not favor you… trust me on that.
As a bonus tip, you should also focus on increasing your videos’ CTR (Click-through rate), a 4.0% CTR should be great, if you have lower, you might want to focus on writing better titles and designing better thumbnails.
How Often Should you upload Videos on YouTube?
This very much depends on your Goals as a creator, do you want to grow faster or do you want to just take this slow? that entirely depends on you.
If you want to grow your YouTube Channel faster, uploading at least 6 videos a week is ideal for you but if you’re not in a rush to get more views and subscribers, you can upload once a week.
During my first couple of months as a YouTube Creator, I uploaded 7 videos a week and by the time I hit 50 videos, I already had 1000 Subscribers and 5,135 public watch hours. Yes, at that point, I didn’t do keyword research and SEO stuff because I was a newbie.
Promoting my videos on Several free promotion platforms helped me a lot through my journey back in the day.
So, it all comes down to you and what your goals are, choose a content schedule that won’t affect your normal life activities and stick with it.
Some creators upload 1 video a month and still have Millions of Subscribers, some upload 4 a week and still don’t do better, that is why I gave you those tips at the beginning of this article.
Best Time to Upload Videos on YouTube in 2022
While I can’t give a definite time, what you should do is log in to YouTube Studio and go through the Realtime Analytics reports, that’ll show you how many people are watching your content and at what time of the day from the Last 48 hours.
What you should now do is study the data, you’ll notice that you’ll have highs and lows at different hours, so let’s say you have your lowest at 1:00 pm and your highest at 3:00 pm, from the chart, you may notice an upward trend (increase in the audience), this means that you have to upload your videos between 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
This is because that’s when your audience starts pouring in, now you have to note that the chart is just like a wave, you may have a spike in the audience at 2 pm, and then at 4 pm, your viewers will be nowhere to be found.
So, What am I saying?, study the chart, the Ideal time to upload videos on YouTube is just before your audience starts to pour in. This varies based on the niche you’re in and your target audience.
