How long does it take to get to 1000 YouTube Subscribers? This is a question a lot of new creators and those a bit skeptical about starting a YouTube Channel often ask… 1000 Subscribers is the beginning of revenue, isn’t it?
As you must have known by now, you need 1000 Subscribers and 4000 public watch hours before you can be considered for the YouTube Partner Program, a program that can give you access to the earnings of your YouTube Content due to ads delivered.
After conducting my private interviews with a few YouTube Creators on my Contact list, it’s safe to say that it takes anywhere between 3-7 months to get 1000 Subscribers on YouTube.
You can’t just start a YouTube Channel, upload a few crappy videos, and just expect to get 1000 Subscribers in the next 4 months or so, you need planning and scheduling and I’ll walk you through it in the article below.

Setting up your Goal
Before starting your YouTube Channel you must have planned on what content to create, and how you’ll go about it, this is where you lay out your goals.
What do you wish to achieve in 30 days or so? For Example, if I’d start a YouTube Channel Today, here’s what my goals would probably be:
- 30 Videos.
- 2000 views.
- 50 Subscribers.
Before I create any video, I’d use 3rd party YouTube Certified Tools like Tubebuddy and VidIQ to perform Keyword Research, the key is to find keywords in your niche with high search volume and low competition.

Am guessing that by now, you must have purchased recommended Beginner YouTube Equipment, so every video is of high quality and you have no reason to not succeed.
Your First 20 Videos should set the move for your Channel and if they’re perfected, you’ll keep seeing progress in the growth of your channel, so spend time on learning how to edit videos, use cameras, design thumbnails, and write better headlines, these are digital skills that come in handy.
Following Through the Plan
Yes, we’re all humans and we can’t predict what happens in the future, what I do know is that if you do things the wrong way, things will be wrong, the right way, and things will go right the way you want them.
There are going to be a lot of setbacks and bottlenecks adjusting to the new schedule of being a content creator, frustration is inevitable but you just have to keep pushing forward.

A Survey conducted with over 10,000 YouTube Creators reveals that it takes an average of 3-7 Months to get to 1000 Subscribers on YouTube, factors like niche competition and keyword research have a big role to play.

If you do your Keyword Research well, and create High-Quality videos constistently, it’ll take around 90 – 210 days for your Channel to get to 1000 Subscribers.
Can I get 1000 subscribers in a month?
You can get 1000 Subscribers in a month, it generally depends on your niche competition and how good (valuable) your content is, if your goal is to get to 1000 Subscribers in a month, you should do some heavy uploading.
I’m talking about 2-5 uploads per day, by the end of the month, you should have at least 60 videos on your channel, if they get an average of 1000 views each, you should be looking at 60,000 views which can get you more than 1000 Subscribers.
