You must focus on optimizing your articles to rank higher on Google and to do that, you’ll need to:
- Find Low Competition Keywords using keyword research tools like Ahrefs and Ubersuggest.
- Create the best content around those low-competition keywords (I mean the most helpful content).
- Optimize your Article to rank Higher using Surfer SEO and Rank Math SEO Plugin.
- Build Links To your site by Contributing to similar sites in your niche.
Of all the items on this list, the hardest to accomplish is building links to your site, it’ll only get easier if you’re able to create systems that’ll work for you.
Tip #2 – Pinterest Traffic
I researched a couple of websites that have qualified for Mediavine in the past and I found out that 89% of them rely on Pinterest for Traffic.
Digging into their Pinterest accounts, they had an average of 5000 followers and 950,000 monthly views and when I plugged their sites into SimilarWeb, they were getting 60,000 visitors per month on average from Pinterest alone.

- Post 3 – 5 Beautiful Standard Pins and 1 idea pin every day using Canva and Movavi Video Editor.
- Create Relevant Boards in your niche and stuff them up with similar content at first, then your pins later.
- Embed your Pinterest Pins to your website, so Pinterest users can save them to their account for later.
These are the tips that I’ve used to get over 40,000 pageviews a month from Pinterest alone and I’m sure it still works.
Tip #3 – Social Media Share Buttons
If you install the Ubersuggest Chrome Extension, you’ll find that top-ranking pages for the best keywords in your niche always get a lot of social shares.
That being said, you should add Social Media Share buttons to your content so that your website visitors can easily share your content.
The Ideal Social Media Platforms that you’ll want people to share your articles are Facebook and Twitter, so your share button should be for Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest only.
The lesser the options the more relevant shares you’re going to get.
All WordPress Themes on Themeforest comes with Share Buttons embedded, you just need to toggle an option and select where you want them to appear and that’s it.
I don’t recommend using a plugin for Shares as it may slow down your website and the share buttons might not look very good with the design and layout of your theme.
Push Notifications
With Push Notifications, you can notify your website visitors of new content and get them to come back to your site from time to time.
The Best Push Notifications platform to go with is OneSignal, they give you access to a lot of cool features like letting your users choose the Category they are interested in before Subscribing and automatically delivering your web pages when they are live.
OneSignal has a WordPress Plugin which enables you automatically send your WordPress Articles to your Subscribers and also configure the prompt banner look.
I prefer using Push Notifications (OneSignal) better than Email Software like (MailChimp, and Convertkit) when it comes to driving traffic to my blog.
You should use Email Marketing Platforms when you want to promote your products, courses, or affiliate marketing offers.
