I’ve made a ton of ad revenue from my sites using WordPress, setting it up is quite easy and you’ll learn how in this article.
Millions if not Billions of websites are using WordPress as a framework to power up their website and why not? It’s the current best Content Management System for Blogging and eCommerce.
Today, we’ll go through the steps I use to make ad revenue using a WordPress Website.
How Can You Earn Ad Revenue in WordPress?
Earning Ad Revenue using a WordPress Website is easy, you just set up your website, publish content and then apply for an ad network, get accepted, display ads on your site, and make money.
Though it’s more complicated than it sounds, I’ll break the entire process down step by step.
1. Get Good Hosting that Comes with a Free Domain
The Best Option for you when it comes to that is Hostinger (<– Use This Link to Get a Discount + Free Domain), you’ll wanna go for the option that can contain about 100,000 Monthly Visitors and pay for 48 months to unlock a Huge Discount.

Of course, there are cheaper hosting providers but I’ve found Hostinger to work best for me, no downtime and auto backups is simply the whole package.
2. Setup your WordPress Website (Themes and Plugins)
After Getting the Hostinger Web Hosting Plan, you should install WordPress from the hPanel, once the process is complete, you should head over to the backend of your WordPress site.
You’ll now see how everything looks, then you should install the Google Site kit Plugin and set it up to add Google Analytics to your site and also connect your site with Google Search Console.

Another Plugin you need is the Rank Math SEO Plugin, you’ll use it to optimize your Articles to rank on Google and Track ranking keywords.
After Installing the Rank Math SEO Plugin, you should submit your Sitemap to Google Search Console which I believe you’ve created an account with the Google Sitekit Plugin.
The Sitemap Link that is created by Rank Math is usually in the format https://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml/, you’ll need to submit your sitemap to Google Search Console, this enables Googlebot to find, access and crawl your site’s pages.

Once you’ve set up these plugins, you should now Head over to Themeforest and get a theme for whatever type of website your creating, if it’s a travel website, you can search for “Travel WordPress Theme” and purchase anyone from the list.
However, I have an article on the best WordPress Themes for Blogs, which you can check out if you have a hard time finding the perfect theme for your site.
After you purchase a theme from Themeforest, you should unzip it with WinRAR, then upload it to your website and activate it, then install one of the Theme’s Demo to make it easier for you to Edit.
Customize the Theme you bought whichever way you want and you can always contact the Theme Developer for any issue you may face.
3. Write about 30 articles
For any good ad network to accept your site, you need to have enough content. What I do is I create 3 Categories at the beginning, then write 10 unique articles for each category making it a total of 30 articles.
The First 30 Articles on your website should be high quality, you don’t want Google to think that your site is a joke since it started with Low-Value Content.
Make Sure you write those articles yourself, don’t use AI or try to spin/rephrase already published content on other websites. If you hire writers, make sure to specify that they shouldn’t use AI (that’s what a couple of them do).
4. Apply for Ezoic and Get Approved
There are a couple of Ad Networks you can apply for if your site is new but the best is Ezoic.
With one of my new websites, I was able to make up to $55 for 1000 visitors and I was happy.

To get your site on Ezoic, they’ll need you to complete a couple of steps like Integrating your site using Cloudflare or Nameserver, Creating Ad Placeholders and adding them to your Website, implementing their ads.txt file, and so on.
The Process is relatively easy to complete and should take you a few hours. But it will take a few days for the Ezoic Platform to review your site and 2 weeks for Google Ad Manager to approve your domain.
You can keep Publishing more containers during this time and periodically checking on to know when your site is approved (though ads will start appearing as soon as you are approved since you’ve added the placeholders to your website).
5. Display Ezoic Ads on your Website and then Earn Money
Once your site is approved by both Ezoic Specialists and Google, those placeholders you added to your site during the setup will start displaying ads.
As people visit your website, they’ll see ads and Ezoic will pay you for that.
For you to make Good Money from your website, you need consistent traffic, a site with about 10,000 visitors a month will be making at least $75 from Ezoic monthly.
Final Thoughts
The more traffic you get to your WordPress Website, the more money you’re going to make from Ezoic and as soon as you reach 50,000 sessions on your site, you should apply for Mediavine and make even more ad revenue.
If you’re having trouble getting your site approved for Ezoic, you can check out my article on the New Ezoic Requirements for Publishers and implement the strategies.
