In this article, you’re going to find out if rewatching a YouTube Video counts as a view, I conducted Experiments to back up my answer and you can do so too.
As a YouTube Creator, it can be downing, having uploaded a video you spent hours recording and editing only to not get the results you were hoping for in terms of views, this is often why many Creators watch their videos.
With my experiment to find out of rewatching a YouTube Video would lead to a view, I had to create another YouTube Channel and then upload 3 videos that last 20 Seconds each.
Then, I used my main YouTube account to rewatch one of the videos 100 times, it took me a couple of hours but the result was pretty unexpected.
I only got 1 view according to YouTube Analytics for that video, I did the same thing for the other videos but the results were pretty much the same. So…
Does Rewatching a YouTube Video Really Count as a View?
Absolutely Not.
Rewatching a YouTube Video isn’t going to increase the video’s number of views and if a video is rewatched multiple times by the same user, it sends spammy signals to YouTube and might get both the User and the Channel Banned in regards to YouTube Fake Engagements Policy.
My advice is that as a creator, you should focus on creating more engaging content and building an audience instead of rewatching your videos or investing in platforms that do so.
How do you Get More Views on YouTube?
It’s really simple… Create more Engaging Content that arouses interest in your potential viewer.
For you to create engaging content, you need to hook up with the Right YouTube Equipment, nobody wants to watch poorly recorded videos and the Same also goes for video editing.
You can use ClickBait and premium YouTube Tools to help you along the way, they are helpful and I use them.
Final Thoughts
New YouTubers are often obsessed with getting to 1000 Subscribers and 4000 watch hours but that shouldn’t be the case, believe me, I’ve been there.
Focus on building a loyal audience, and a community so that you can keep making passive revenue from your channel when you do meet the YouTube Partner Program eligibility requirements.
As a bonus for reading through the article, here are tactical tips to get more views on YouTube:
- Design Click-worthy Thumbnails using Canva.
- Your Videos Title should be perfect and Clickbait in a good way.
- Encourage your video viewers to like and comment on your videos so YouTube will recommend them to them more often.
