The Adskeeper ad network is kinda like an extension of the MGID Native Ad Network, I believe that the same company owns both of them or they are simply partners.
In any case, today I’ll compare Adskeeper with MGID according to the site Approval Process, ad formats, payments, etc. My Goal is simply to help you make a clear choice between the two.
Site Approval
Getting your site approved by Adskeeper is very easy they didn’t set any minimum traffic requirements, you’re only required to have a website that doesn’t redirect to another site and had content.
It takes a couple of seconds to get your site approved by Adskeeper, I think their approval process is handled by bots.
As for the MGID Ad Network, you are required to have unique content on your website and you should be getting 3000 page views per day (90,000 pageviews a month).
Your site shouldn’t also contain Media Content as it’ll just be disapproved by the MGID Publisher management team, and of course, MGID site reviews are done by their employees and you can contact them if you feel your site has been rejected wrongfully.
Ad Formats
Both Adskeeper and MGID are native Ad Networks, if you create an ad via your Adskeeper dashboard, and look at the ad code, you’ll see that it’s pretty identical to the MGID Ad Code.
With the Adskeeper ad network, you can create:
- Interstitial Ads.
- IAB Size Ads.
- Feed Ads.
- Notification Ads.
- Mobile Bottom slide-in ads, etc.
These Ad Formats will help you make the most money from your site but what I don’t like about them is that they’ll slow down your website.
Adskeeper for one has access to a limited number of advertisers compared to MGID which boasts of having 100,000+ new campaigns created annually.
Here are the ad formats that are Unique to MGID:
- Display Ads.
- Video Ads.
- Native Ads.
- IAB Banners.
- In-Content Impact.
With MGID, you get full control of ad placements and content, you can set the native ads to integrate with your site’s feed so that the ads will blend in and make you money without being noticed.
Payments
Adskeeper pays publishers mainly via Bank Wire Transfer and PayPal when they’ve made at least $100 before the next payment date.
MGID on the other hand offers more flexible Payment Methods and Payout Thresholds and they Include:
- PayPal ($50)
- Paymaster ($50)
- Tipalti Bank Transfer for both US and Non-US Bank Transfers ($100)
- ACH Bank-to-Bank Transfers ($1000)
- International Bank-to-Bank Transfers ($1000)
Final Thoughts
With MGID’s compatibility with Accelerated Mobile Pages and Facebook Instant Articles, It beats Adskeeper hands down and is superior in every comparison except that it isn’t for Small Publishers.
While your site is still new, I recommend you sign up for Ezoic because it pays well and doesn’t require any Minimum Traffic to get in.
