Have you done everything right and yet somehow, Google AdSense has managed to reject your site with the following words “We found some policy violations on your site, We can’t serve ads on your site until you fix these issues“.
If you’ve been a victim of that message, I’ll help you fix it and get your site approved. As you must have noticed, there are AdSense and Ezoic Ads on this site and that means my methods are efficient.
Google AdSense is one of the best ad networks for Small Publishers in 2022 because they almost accept every site and have no minimum traffic requirements, that’s the reason why every new publisher yearns for AdSense approval.
Now, we’ll take a look and the common AdSense Ads policy violations which many new publishers neglect.
Unsupported Theme
Many themes in the WordPress Repository do not support AdSense Ads or their design may not adhere to Google’s Publisher Policies like not pushing content below the fold.
There is a lot of AdSense-supported themes out there but the one that I’ve personally used to get AdSense approval on all my site is the JNews Multi-Purpose Theme, it can be used on any niche website, the prebuilt demos are great and they were specifically made for AdSense.
Adult Content
You may be familiar with this one, and yes.. if your website contains even just 0.05% of adult content, you’ll never get approved by Google AdSense.
We all know what adult content is, it may be in the form of written text, images, or even videos, review all the articles on your website and remove them if any.
If you’re sure that your site does not have any adult content, then check out the next policy violation.
Absence of ‘Contact’ Page
Every Legit Online Business should have a ‘contact’ or ‘contact us’ page, your visitors need to be able to contact you for issues, suggestions, or to find out more about what you do.
Once you apply for Google AdSense, they’ll look for your Contact and About Page, just create them and add content.
For the Contact page, you can install the Contact Form 7 plugin and create a form, then embed it on the page using the Shortcode widget.
Prohibited Words
I struggled with this, when I was starting with monetizing my sites with Ad Networks, do not use prohibited words that may target a group of people, or instigate hate or violence.
This issue is eminent in the personal finance niche, where publishers may write articles on ‘how to make $ online’, AdSense simply doesn’t like that kind of content.
I fixed it on my site, by removing all those pages with the prohibited words or changing the words on the pages I didn’t want to delete, when I reapplied for AdSense, I got approved.
No Content
On my first website, this was the issue I faced, I had written 25 articles and then applied and got rejected.
After a lot of research, I found out what my problem was, I had 4 categories, two had 10 articles, the other had 3 and the last one had 2 articles.
AdSense rejected my website because there wasn’t enough content on 2 of my categories, all I had to do was delete one category, then make sure the rest had at least 10 articles each, and then I got approved.
Copied Content
Back in 2018, when I was stuck in approving my site for Google AdSense, I thought that if I had copied content from popular websites and spun them, they’d become original… How wrong I was?
No matter how you spin, paraphrase or re-word an article you copied from another site, you’ll continue to get rejected by AdSense due to Policy Violations.
Copied Content is of no use, you’ll never get the SEO traffic you need to make affiliate or ad revenue or even both.
Write your content at least 1000 words and your content will rank on Google and get traffic, if you feel you need to quote another site, do so and make sure to link to them, that way you’re providing value to your readers and avoiding the Copied Content metric.
Spun or Copied Content is the number 1 reason why publisher sites are rejected due to Policy Violations, step up and learn to write articles yourself by gathering facts and research.
Navigation Menu
Your Sites Navigation Menu should be designed to help users better navigate your website, you should add your categories to the top menu and the footer should contain your Contact Page, About Us page, Privacy Policy, and Disclaimer.
Make Sure your site is still not using the demo menu that came with your theme and links on your menu(s) do not lead to ‘error pages’.
