Monetizing your blog with ads is not all about Google AdSense, this article highlights several alternatives to AdSense in 2022.
In my article on the best ad networks for small publishers, I noted Google AdSense as the best because it accepts publishers with little or no traffic.
But in this article, some of the ad networks may accept small publishers and some may not, make sure to read all reviews carefully before applying.
When we talk about the Alternatives to Google AdSense, we don’t always mean the ad networks in which AdSense is considerably better.. so, take note.
I think I should add this here, AdSense Rejection isn’t the end of the world, but if you’re rejected, there’s a 99.5% probability that you won’t be accepted into quality ad networks.
That Being Said, let’s take a look at the top AdSense Alternatives for Publishers in 2022:
Ezoic is the number 1 Google AdSense Alternative for publishers, they now accept sites that even get just 100 visitors per month.
The Ezoic Ad Network is all about quality, they believe it’s better if you get 100 human visitors a month that 90,000 bot visitors and 10,000 bot visitors.
Any amount of Invalid Traffic on your website can lead to rejection, and you can’t reapply immediately unlike in AdSense.
After getting approved on Ezoic, you need to create or link an existing Google Ad Manager account.
Mediavine is ranked number 2 in the Best Alternative For Google AdSense because it is not for Small Publishers, you need to get 50,000 unique visitors to your website to be considered for Mediavine.
Yes… your content and your visitors still need to be reviewed and you might still be rejected even if you have 60,000 unique visitors per month.
Such type of rejection usually occurs when you get the majority of your site’s traffic from countries like India, the majority of your traffic should come from countries like the United States, UK, CA, and co.
That aside, you can earn a lot of money from Mediavine, enough that’ll enable you to quit your 9 to 5 and make a full-time income.
Left for me, you should start a website with Mediavine in mind, start with Ezoic then when your traffic reaches the bare minimum, apply for Mediavine and earn more.
Monumetric is another great AdSense alternative that pays Publishers well, you only need 10,000 pageviews to be approved.
However sites with 10,000 – 80,000 pageviews a month need to pay a $99 setup fee, this fee enables representatives at Monumetric to work on your site, and improve the layout and speed even with Ads live.
Before the arrival of premium ad networks like Mediavine, AdThrive, and Ezoic, Media.net used to be Google AdSense’ Top Competitor, but now the ad network is ignored by publishers.
Their cookie-less advertising is great but publishers don’t earn more from it, and In my opinion, you rather work on getting Google AdSense Approval than limit your potential with Media.net.
Media.net may be working on improving their ad service because they don’t approve a lot of publishers who want to try them out these days.
Applying for Ezoic and getting approved will earn you more, that’s it!. If you still want to try out Media.net and know whether it’ll work well for your nich, read my article on How to get approved for Media.net Easily in 2022.
Even Ezoic managed to triple my AdSense earnings significantly and you can get in with a brand new website with just 100 visitors a month.
To get on AdThrive, your site needs to get 100,000 pageviews in the last 30 days and it’s not just that, content on your site should be unique and advertiser-friendly.
Getting approved on AdThrive is considered by me, the greatest milestone a Publisher can cross to earn the highest possible revenue from his or her website.
As of now, Adsterra is considered the best alternative for AdSense although Ezoic is better, publishers rejected by AdSense are now hopping on the Adsterra Bandwagon and making more revenue.
I’ve seen CPMs up to $40 on Adsterra, it all comes down to your ad placements and the countries where your visitors consume your site’s content from.
Valueimpression is a CPM-based ad network that is a good alternative to AdSense.
This is an ad network to which AdSense is superior, the average Valueimpression CPM is $0.26, and after a month or 2 with them, my CPM couldn’t increase.
A $0.26 CPM means that you need 100,000 page views to make $26.
Use Valueimpression if and only if your site is rejected from all the aforementioned ad networks except Adsterra and you get a lot of website visitors.
Taboola is one of the best Content Recommendation Ad Networks and also one of the best alternatives to AdSense which works on a CPC Model.
This ad network mainly deals with native ads, and it isn’t available for small publishers.
To increase your chances of getting Taboola approval on your website, you need to get at least 500,000 pageviews a month on your website.
You can combine Taboola with other ad networks and increase your earnings.
This is another AdSense alternative ad network, it’s a subsidiary of the MGID ad network which also works like Taboola but better.
Note that Taboola pays more than Adskeeper and MGID combined.
Adskeeper is CPC based which means that you only make revenue when your visitors click on the ads shown.
On your Adskeeper Reports tab, you can track which ad formats are performing the best as well as the impact of the placement on the ad, they may suggest you change the position of the ad to increase revenue.
AdThrive is the best AdSense alternative if you get over 100,000 pageviews a month, if you get 50,000 pageviews a month then Mediavine should be the best AdSense alternative for you.
In the cse that you’re still a small publisher that averages 10,000 – 40,000 pageviews a month, Ezoic will earn you the most revenue from your site.
AdThrive is the highest paying AdSense alternative, Publishers who are approved on AdThrive make up to $50 per 1000 visitors on their site which is the best.
